To prevent audio/video synchronization iss ues (lip sync ), make sure that the
active power plan in yo ur PC is set t o either ‘Alw ays On’ in XP, or ‘Ba lanced’ o r
‘Hig h Performance’ in Vista.
Audio control using the PC buttons
Problem/Question:
The volume control works only on TV remote control or on Audio recei ver and not
on the laptop buttons.
Answer:
- For st ere o audio it is a known Microsoft OS bug th at on s ome PCs some
of the volume buttons do not work for U SB Audio devices. On some of
them the mute works but the v olum e c ont rol d oes not .
- For surround audi o, per definit ion, volume level cannot be co nfigure d via
the m edia player or OS control but rather only on the aud io receiv er or
home t heater system audio control butto ns.
