Symptom:
No im age is displayed by the r emote screen (external display).
Solution:
Check to see that th e video cable between the Base Ad apter and the display
screen is connect ed pr operly an d securely.
Ensure that you hav e select ed the correct input source in the display screen/TV
controls (e.g. HD MI, Line In, and Di gita l Input).
Check to see that th e pow er suppl y to the displa y s creen is con nected properly.
Make sure that the Sc ree n Resolution t hat is s et on the PC is su ppor ted by the
external displa y.

Video is not playing smoothly
Problem/Question:
I see dropped fra mes and/or audi o/video disconnects during movie play.
Answer:
There ar e few thin gs whi ch c an cause it :
1. PC which is not powerful enough (C PU usage is s een in t he tas k manager
tool to be 80-100%). See Minimum System Requirem ents.
2. Changing s creen resolution to 720p (instead of 108 0p). Choose 1280×720 as
described in Configuring the Display.
3. For w atching v ideo, it is recommended to put the W i reles s La pt op to H om e
Theatre adapter into E xten d Mod e. Refer to configuring the display > In
Windows XP/V ista via the Display Icon Co ntext Menu or Configuring the
display > In Windows 7.
4. When viewi ng st reaming video from the i nternet, especially in Full Screen
Mode, it is highly a dvisable to optimize the signal by disa bling the ha rd war e
acceleration. F or issues related t o streami ng from the Internet, refer to
Internet Video.
5. No li ne of sight between the lapt op and the base which causes sli ght
degradation in throughput an d can c ause such issues. Try to impr ove li ne of
sight betwe en the T V and laptop and s ee if it helps.
6. The laptop is t oo far away from the base, causing a drop in thro ughput. Try to
get closer to t he TV and see if this helps .
7. When Using Wi ndows Vista or Windo ws 7 and watching videos you s ho ul d
enable t he 'Optimize for Video' mod e using the Displa yLink manager icon in
the tas k bar. for more info Refer to Optimize for Video Mode.
8. When using Win7 please use Aero Desk top Theme.
