Device Adapter requires pairing: if you are adding a Devi ce Adapt er that was
not par t of a set, or i f you are connecting to a new un recogni zed PC Adapter, you
may need to perform the Pairing procedure, see Pairing.
Channel busy
Problem/Question:
Channel busy mes sage displays when I try to change the channel o r after power
up/i nsertion of the PC Adapter.
Symptom:
Host PC is showing channel busy (Red with yellow exc lamation mar k) icon
in System Tra y
Solution:
Another wireless system may be in use in proximity to the PC or to the device's
environment, and may cause temporary interference to the wireless USB system.
Try to select a different channel (where applicable - local regulatory restrictions
may apply).
Close the message box, detach the PC Adapter from your PC and re-attach it. If
the message displays again, try to change the channel again.
Note:
Manual ch annel sel ection may be restricted by local communi cation
regulation l aws.
In Europe there is currently only one channel available and when
tr ying to use more than one set they ar e trying to use the same
channel. In general they should be able to s har e the same c hannel.
Movie playing is disrupted
Problem/Question:
Movie playing is disrupted by m oving the laptop.
Symptom:
Movie playing performance is degraded when the Lapt op PC is m oved around.
Solution:
Som e lapt op m odels offer an ac tive hard-dis k pr ot ec ti on feature that locks the
hard-di sk wh en motion is detec ted by the laptop. T his m ay cause movie pla ying
to be disr upt e d when m ov ing the laptop around.
Disable or lower the se nsiti vity of the active har d-disk protection mechanism.
