related to the flares. If the flares do not allow the rock slider to be positioned to
the 5.75” vertical measurement, loosen the flares and move them slightly, to
allow the rock slider to move down to the 5.75” measurement. See Figure 1.

4. Once the rock slider is in the correct position, mark the five side holes, using the
rock slider as a guide. On ’03 TJ’s do not drill the last hole in the rock slider.
Due to a change in the seat belt location the last hole cannot be used. Instead,
drill a new hole in the middle of the last two holes. Mark the rock slider in the
middle of the last two holes and drill a 3/8” hole. Mark the body where you drilled
the new hole instead of marking the most rear hole. Open the door and check for
any factory wires that may be on the backside of the drilling locations. If there
are wires in these locations, move them out of the way temporarily. Remove the
rock slider and drill the five side holes to 3/8”. Clean any drill chips off the side of
the vehicle.
