5.3.3 Test the PowerMan™
Movetheswitchtothe“CIRCUITCHECK”positiontotestthealarmbeforeconnectinganywires.
Afterconrmingthatthealarmisingoodworkingorder,turnofftheunitandconnectthewiresasfollows:
•ConnectrstinnerconductorcorewiretotheL1(OHMS)terminalofthePowerMan™
•ConnectsecondinnerconductorcorewiretotheL2(OHMS)terminalofthePowerMan™
FortheTempZone™FloorHeatingCable(Twin),therearetwomethodsofdoingthenextstep:
1.Splitthegroundsheathintwo.ConnectonehalfofthegroundsheathtotheGterminal,placethePowerMan™switch
inthe“CIRCUITCHECK”position,andtouchtheotherhalfofthegroundsheathtooneoftheinnerconductorwires.
2.InserttheentiregroundintotheGterminal.PlacethePowerMan™switchinthe“CIRCUITCHECK”positionandusea
paperclipasabridgebetweenthegroundwireandeitheroneoftheinnerconductors.
Eithermethodshouldactivatethealarm.IfthePowerMan™doesnotpassallthesetests,pleasecallWarmlyYours24/7
InstallationSupportat(800)875-5285forassistance.
5.3.4 Activate the PowerMan™ and Proceed to Install Flooring
InstallthecableinaccordancewiththedesignlayoutandinstructionsprovidedbyWarmlyYours.Testresistanceofeach
systemasecondtime.Testeachsystemindividually.
5.3.5 If the PowerMan™ Alarm Sounds, Stop!
Ifthealarmsounds,thereisashortinthecircuitorbreakinthesystem.Stopworkandinstallnewbatteries.Ifalarm
continues,stopandrefertothetroubleshootingguideinsection8ofthisinstallationmanual,orcall24/7Installation
Supportat(800)875-5285.WarmlyYourscansupplyasplicekittorepairtheshort.Alternatively,thewiremayberepaired
by an electrician.
5.3.6 Final Test
Aftertileandgrouthavebeeninstalled,testeachsystemthethirdandnaltime.
