6.1 Testing the Cable
IMPORTANT: Do NOT supply the system with electric current to test.
Alltestingshouldbedonewithadigitalohmmeter.Supplyingthesystemwitha120Vor240Velectriccurrentbeforethe
installationiscompleteisnotneededtotestthesystem.
6.2 Take the Ohm Readings
TheelectricalresistanceoftheWarmlyYoursTempZone™FloorHeatingCablemustbecheckedbeforeyoustartand
monitoredthroughouttheinstallationprocesstoensuretherehasbeennodamagecausingshortsorbreaks.
Werecommendatleastthreereadingsbetaken:
1.Beforestartinginstallation
2.Aftersecuringthecableinplaceonthesuboor
3.Afterinstallingtheooringsurfaceontopofthecable
Useanohmmetertomeasuretheresistance.
6.3 Record the Ohm Readings
ThevalueontheULlabelshouldbewithin-5/+10%varianceat20ºC(68ºF)oftheoriginalmeasurementindicatedonthe
label.Theelectricianshouldcarefullymarktheinitialohmreadingtakenontothewarrantycardinsection10.Shouldthe
initialohmreadingbeoutsidethe-5/+10%variance,refertosection8,Troubleshooting,orcallWarmlyYoursTechnical
