It will then run cctupdate for each cct file present in the new directory.
The software required to enable this report is released with the standard TROPOS 2.4.0 release. It
can also be patched onto TROPOS 2.3.0. If you have not received the software via a patch release
and installed it on the relevant databases, then you will not be able to run this procedure prior to the
2.4.0 upgrade. In which case, run the report after the software has been installed and the updatedb
run.
These programs may be run in one of three modes.
Steps to follow on receipt of a Patch or Standard Release Upgrade CD from SSI:
This will compare the cct files present on the new CD with those that have actually been installed.
As some patch releases are cumulative, the CD may contain cct files which have already been
installed and these will not be reported.
Ensure the PKEEP file SDK.DATA is up to date for all SDK, Browser, BLW, etc,
applications.
Insert the CD-ROM into the server’s CD-ROM drive.
If running a UNIX system, using a priviledged account, ie ‘root’, type one of the following
commands to ‘mount’ the CD device:
On HP-UX: mount –F cdfs –o cdcase <cd-rom_device_name> /cdrom
On Compaq Tru64 UNIX: mount –t cdfs –o noversion <cd-rom_device_name> /cdrom
On IBM AIX: mount –v cdrfs –o ro <cd-rom_device_name> /cdrom
where <cd-rom_device_name> is the device id of the CD-ROM drive and /cdrom is the mount
point.
Log into a Kea or telnet type session using an identity that is associated with the database
you wish to compare against (e.g. the hand database) and set your default directory to
PWORK.
Type one of the following commands:
If running a UNIX system: cctversion /cdrom/relccts ‘’ <language>
If running a Windows system: cctversion <drive>:\tropos\screens\cct\ssi ‘’ <language>
where <language> is optional and will default to English if not entered. Otherwise enter FR or D for
French and German respectively. As <language> is the 3rd parameter, it is necessary to specify a
dummy 2nd parameter of two single quotes (‘) as shown in the examples above.
and <drive> is the drive letter allocated to the CD-ROM, e.g. ‘f’.
The new report, CCTIMPACT_lang_detail.LIS, can now be printed or viewed online using
the PRIN transaction. This will identify the signficance of the changes between the ccts
supplied on the CD and those in the current environment, e.g. Handover.
The report CCTUPDATE_lang_detail.LIS is also created and this gives the detail of the
changes between the old and new cct files.
