multiple item numbers and process definitions for similar products where the only difference is in
the dimensions and/or other characteristics of the item. It also provides active user defined fields,
which can be used to influence the sales, manufacturing and procurement business processes.
Attributes can be defined for all key TROPOS entities including: products, processes, customers,
sales orders, production orders and lots.
Fast Access to Key Business Data with TROPOS SuperSearch
TROPOS SuperSearch provides an intuitive, simple to use search and drill-down capability on
products, customers and sales orders, and suppliers and purchase orders. Delivered as a web portal
it can be used by the experienced and occasional user alike, with no formal training needed. For
example, from a list of customers you can drill down to sales orders, then the delivery schedule and

TROPOS 'Whisky'
A range of features have been added to support the drinks industry and in particular the production
of spirits (Whisky). Age of youngest spirit processing has been included for alcohol based
products/items. A new set of transactions have been provided which simplify the management and
movement of lot controlled bulk liquids. Facilities are also provided which manage the automatic
accruing and invoicing of warehouse rents for customer owner inventories. In line with these
enhancements, the Customs and Excise returns have also been enhanced. SSI is carrying out

Low Cost Business to Business Transacting with TROPOS, Biztalk & XML
With the advent of XML messaging standards, and the release of Biztalk Server from Microsoft,
the age of reliable low cost electronic business to business transacting is a reality. The TROPOS
document creation and customisation capabilities (TROPOS Form) have been enhanced to include
an XML output option. These together with the TROPOS interfacing and integration tools can be
used to configure B2B solutions which surpass what has been possible with EDI in terms of ease of
use and cost of deployment.
Improve Internal Communication & Collaboration with an Intranet
Providing a company intranet will improve internal collaboration and communication. Common
information such as: Quality Processes and Standards, Company Forms, Company Notices, Staff
Lists and Phone Directories etc. can be made accessible online and be easily maintained by the
author. SSI's packaged intranet 'inSSIder' comes pre-configured and together with packaged
implementation services, enabling deployment in very short timescales (days). As it becomes the
focal point for your users it can be made the single entry point for access to your TROPOS and
Business Intelligence solutions.
