4.2.3.2 Sales Extras per Price Unit (SR4259)
Sales order line extras which can be defined as being per “I”nvoice or per selling “U”nit, can now
also be defined as per “P”rice unit on the SIEM (Order Line Extras) and the CPEM
(Customer/Product Extras) transactions.
4.2.3.3 Payment Terms Text (SR4431)
The SPTM (Payment Terms) transaction now contains an option to allow text to be defined. This
text can be viewed on the SPTE (Payment Terms Enquiry) and is available on the White Paper
Printing data files for the Sales Acknowledgement, the Invoice and the Sundry Invoice.
4.2.3.4 Credit Checking (SR4399)
TROPOS credit checking has been enhanced allowing VAT and Duty to be included in credit
checking.
Enhanced Credit Checking (SR4361)
TROPOS Credit Checking has been enhanced to optionally include the VAT amount relating to
orders on hand (ooh) and orders in progress (oip). A further option allows Customs & Excise duties
to be included in the credit checking as well, if they are applicable.
A new parameter is maintained by FSAM (Order Progress Management). It determines whether
credit checking should include VAT and whether credit checking should include Customs & Excise.
Set this field to 2 if you charge Customs & Excise duties on all or some of your sales. Set this field
to 1 if you don’t charge Customs & Excise, but you want to include VAT in the balance of orders
on hand (ooh) and orders in progress (oip) during credit checking. Set this field to 0 if you do not
want VAT or Customs & Excise to be incorporated in credit checking.
A new transaction has been provided to recalculate the customer credit position. The transaction is
SOCG (Customer Credit Status). This transaction can be run for a specific customer or statement
account. Alternatively, the transaction can be run for all customers within the business. The
transaction calculates the credit position from the sales order line information for a particular
customer. This information includes VAT if FSAM Credit Value Option = 1 or 2. This information
includes Customs & Excise if Credit Value Option = 2.
Sales order entry and progression transactions have been changed. If FSAM Credit Value Option =
1, and FSAM Credit Check Level = L (line level) the goods value of the order line is increased by
the anticipated VAT value as part of credit checking. If FSAM Credit Value Option = 2, and FSAM
Credit Check Level = L (line level) the goods value of the order line is inflated by the anticipated
VAT and Customs & Excise values as part of credit checking.
The sales order entry transactions have been further enhanced so that where the credit limit is being
exceeded, they show the amount of excess.
The QCON (Quotation Conversion) transaction has been enhanced and will now apply a credit
check, inclusive of VAT and Excise if required. The transaction accumulates the values of all lines
on the quotation and produces a credit check error/warning message if the credit limit has been
exceeded. A second error/warning message shows the amount by which the credit limit has been
exceeded. The enhancement applies only to line-level credit checking (FSAM Credit Check Level =
L).
