2. Mounting
Loosen the locking screws at the mounting base and slide
the sight with the mounting base onto the rail. The reflex lens
of the sight is to point towards the shooting direction of the
gun. Tighten the locking screws.
Note: A minimum distance of 3 inches (7.5 cm) is to be kept
between eye and sight when the gun is fired.
3. Operation and adjustment
The combined on-/off switch and the brightness regulator
for the electronic Walther Multi Dot Sight MDS is situated on
the top side of the sight. With the switch set to a position be-
tween 1 and 7, a red dot of different brightness is projected
onto the lens. When aiming, simply align the red dot with the
target. Positions of the switch: pos. 0 = red dot off, pos. 1 =
minium brightness to pos. 7 = maximum brightness.
The MOA regulator can be used to adjust the dot size (MOA).
(MOA stands for minute of angle, one MOA equals 1.044 inch
on 100 yards or 29 mm on 100 meters shooting distance)
Attention: Do not forget to switch the red dot off
after use of the Multi Dot Sight.
3.1 Battery
Your MDS red dot sight is powered by a 3 V lithium battery
(CR 2032 or similar types). The battery should be changed
when the red dot gets slowly darker or disappears altogether.
To insert a new battery, unscrew the battery compartment
lid with a coin while you hold the lower part of the rotating
numbered knob. After the battery has been inserted with the
positive (+) pole upwards (as illustrated), replace the battery
compartment lid.
