2 HANDLING THE PISTOL
2.1 Care
Always be absolutely sure that the gun is unloaded!
The metal parts must be treated after use for moisture with an acid-free gun oil.
The moving parts, especially hammer and valve parts are treated at the factory with a long-life
grease and do have to be greased again.The interior of the barrel may only be cleaned using the
enclosed cleaning stick.
This is done by opening the breech and pushing the cleaning rod into the barrel, from the grip end.
Use only the accessories provided for this purpose.
Have your sports gun maintained regularly by a specialist to guarantee long-term flawless
functioning.
2.2 Inspection upon receipt
Inspect your new weapon immediately upon receipt and check the following:
1. Check the packing for damages caused in transit
2. Examine the grip
3. Check the general appearance of the weapon
4. Check the sights and their mouths
5. Check the full complement of accessories
6. Check the functions in accordance with section 2.3
Please report any damage caused in transit to your Post Office or to the Forwarding Agent and
demand written confirmation of damage. Please contact Walther, so that we can immediately take
the necessary steps to obtain free rectification for any damage caused in transit.
