• Pull the slide back until it is fully rearward, press
upward on the slide stop lever while letting the slide
move slightly forward thereby locking the slide open
(4.1.2 Fig. 4).

• Rotate the take down lever fully upward (4.1.2 Fig.5).
Grasp the slide from the top, pull it fully to the rear
and guide the slide forward to its closed position.

WARNING Always check that the take down lever is in its horizontal position prior
to guiding the slide forward to its closed position. Failure in checking
this may cause the slide to get separated from the frame and result in
damage or may cause injury.
4.2 Magazine
WARNING Wear safety glasses every time you assemble or disassemble your
magazine.
4.2.1 Magazine Disassembly
WARNING The magazine spring is under pressure. Use caution when stripping down
the magazine. Control the floorplate catch and the magazine spring while
you remove the floorplate so that they do not fly out and cause injury.
