REAR LEGS & ARMPITS

increases in older dogs whose skin has loosened and folds or wrinkles may be present.
Tips for clipping the rear legs & armpits
1. Brushthehaironthelegsinanupwardandoutwardmotiontouffitup.
2. Start at the foot by clipping any hair that falls over the foot.
3. From the hip, clip down to the ankle removing a little hair at a time. If you want to achieve
a closer clip on the legs it is possible to work upwards from the ankle to the hip.
4. When you clip around the hip blend the hair so it tapers into the shorter body hair
5. If you are using attachment combs on the legs, always complete your stroke, do not stop
midway.
6. Repeat this process with the other back leg, ensuring you achieve the same size as the
rstleg.
FRONT LEGS
Tips for clipping the front legs
1. With the dog facing you, comb the hair on the front legs up and out.
2. Following the lay of the hair clip the front legs to match the back legs.
3. At the shoulder comb the hair and clip it to blend with the shorter hair on the body.
4. Comb the hair on the chest and between the front legs and clip it to the length the shoulder
and body hair.
