NOTE: Some accessories use one 9V battery, which equals 9V output.
Set the Variable Voltage Switch to the proper voltage for the accessory.
Select the Proper adapter plug for the accessory. Make sure the adapter plug
engage snugly into the accessory input socket for the proper power
connection. Each adapter plug is marked for positive (+) and negative (-)
polarity.
IMPORTANT: REVERSED POLARITY WILL RESULT IN
PERMANENT DAMAGE TO THE ACCESSORY VERIFY POLARITY
AND VOLTAGE OF THE ACCESSORY, AND PLUG ADAPTER INTO
DC POWER CONVERTER CABLE ACCORDINGLY.
INSERT OUTPUT JACK END OF DC POWER CONVERTER CABLE
INTO DC OUTLET OF THE UNIT. PUSH THE MASTER SWITCH TO
THE OUTPUT POSITION AND RUN NORMALLY.
SAMPLE RUN TIMES FOR ACCESSORIES
The following are approximate times that accessories can be expected to run
and function normally while powered by the unit:
Cell phones -4 hours of talk, 5 days of stand-by mode.
Camcorder -2.5 hours (0.6A load), 3.6 hours (0.4A load)
Spotlight – 1 hour (25-watt bulb), 2 hours (12.5-watt bulb)
Camping lantern (dual –fluorescent type 4 watts) -3.5hours
CD player (3watts) -5 hours.
CHECKING THE BUILT-IN BATTERY LEVEL
Push the Maser Switch to the Battery Reader position. The Charge Level
indicator Lights below the switch will indicate whether the built-in battery’s
charge is a “full’’, “half” or “empty”. Recharging is recommended when
“half” charge is indicated, and is necessary immediately when “empty” is
indicated.
RECHARGING
RECHARGING IN VEHICLE
Simply leave the unit plugged into the vehicle’s 12V socket for 30 to 60 minutes,
while the engine is running, fully charge. (After unplug, use the Battery Reader
Charge Level Indicator Lights to determine if full charge has been achieved.)
Do not leave this unit plugged into the 12V socket when the vehicle is not running.
It will nor recharge, and may drain power from the car battery. NOTE: It should be
charged at least once every 12 months regardless of usage. Most Ni-Cad batteries
average over 500 charges in their life cycle.
RECHARGING FROM AC POWER SOURCE
An AC Power Adapter is included for recharging from a standard power outlet.
Simply leave this unit plugged into a power outlet for 3 to 5 hours to fully
charge.(After Unplug use the Battery Reader Charge Level Indicator Lights to
determine if full change ha been achieve.)
