How do you know if gas from an onboard supply has
leaked into your vehicle? Probably only when it is too
late ... The WAECO MagicSafe gas detector protects you
from dangerous surprises. It reliably detects the presence
of narcotic gases in the atmosphere and immediately
triggers the alarm. The integrated buzzer emits an audible
signal. In addition, warnings are indicated by a red LED that
is activated by a signal from the switching relay.
The test button (alarm mute) silences the audible alarm.
You can use it to check the sensor function, too.
The MagicSafe gas detector can also be fitted as a
complementary module to the MagicSafe MS 650 and
MagicSafe MS 670 car alarms (p. 188 – 191). The sensor
detects all knock-out gases based on ether, chloroform,
butane, ethane and trichlorethene.
When you’ve switched on the gas detector, the system will
initially perform a self function test and then adjust
automatically to the room atmosphere. Any system failure
will be immediately indicated.
The integrated relay circuits allow for three
optional system configurations. The WAECO
MagicSafe gas detector can be used:
1. As stand-alone alarm unit
2. In combination with the MS-620SI siren
(page 191)
3. In combination with the MagicSafe MS 650
and MS 670 car alarms (pages 188 – 191).
