Daylight running light regulations in Europe
More and more drivers switch their lights on
The mandatory use of daytime running lights throughout Europe would avoid many acci-
dents, as a study of the ACE (Auto Club Europe) shows backed by alarming figures. Even
so, driving with lights on during daylight hours has not yet become common practice in all
European countries, but is expressly recommended in some countries. Every driver is free
to switch the dipped headlights on during daylight hours to protect themselves and other
road users. The ideal way is to use an automatic light control system.
