Product description
ELASTOSIL® A33 is a non-slump RTV-1 silicone
rubber, which cures at room temperature. During
vulcanization it splits off an organic amine.
Special features
- ready-to-use, one-component system
- good mechanical properties
- primerless adhesion to many substrates
Application
- adhesive for the coating and sealing at high
temperatures
Processing
ELASTOSIL® A33 shows good primerless adhesion to
many substrates. We recommend running preliminary
tests to optimize conditions for the particular
application.
Comprehensive instructions are given in our leaflet
"ELASTOSIL
®
RTV-1 Silicone Rubber".
Storage
The 'Best use before end' date of each batch is shown
on the product label.
Storage beyond the date specified on the label does
not necessarily mean that the product is no longer
usable. In this case however, the properties required
for the intended use must be checked for quality
assurance reasons.
Safety notes
During vulcanization of ELASTOSIL® A33, an organic
amine is split off. These vapours should not be inhaled
for long periods or in high concentration. Work areas
should therefore be well ventilated. Contact of
unvulcanized silicone rubber with eyes and mucous
membranes must be avoided as this would cause
irritation. However if it does happen, rinse the affected
area thoroughly with water.
Comprehensive instructions are given in the
corresponding Material Safety Data Sheets. They are
available on request from WACKER subsidiaries or
may be printed via WACKER web site
http://www.wacker.com.
