5.4 Checking the Neutral Switch
Prerequisites  Machine is shut down
 Multimeter
Procedure Follow the procedure below to check the neutral switch.
1. Remove the retaining ring from the rubber boot at the base of the FWD/REV
control (joystick).
2. Roll up the rubber boot to expose the neutral switch (a).
3. Disconnect one or both of the wires from the neutral switch.
4. With the joystick in the neutral position, check the continuity between the termi-
nals of the neutral switch.
Is there continuity?

Continue. The neutral switch has failed; replace it.
