Operator`s manual

CAPACITOR: Used to add starting torque and efficiency to single phase electric motors.
Capacitors are rated by Microfarad (µf or mfd) and volts i.e.: 10 µf 370V = Ten Microfarads x Three Hundred Seventy Volts.
FUSE: Single use glass or fiber case fuses commonly used in electrical circuitry.
Their capacity is listed in the type number of the fuse i.e FNM-3 is a fuse with a Three Amp rating.
FNM-3
STEP DOWN TRANSFORMER: Used in GHI equipment to reduce 120 Volts AC to 12.6 Volts AC.
IGN. TRANS.
IGNITION TRANSFORMER: Increases 120 Volts AC up to 30,000 Volts to generate the high energy spark
required to ignite fuel.
MAGNETIC CIRCUIT BREAKER: Trips when the electrical energy level through the breaker generates electromagnetic force in
amounts sufficient to activate a mechanical (electromagnetic) device to force the Switch OPEN.

THERMAL CIRCUIT BREAKERS: Trips when the electrical energy level through the breaker generates heat in amounts sufficient
to activate a thermo-mechanical (Bi-Metal) device to force the Switch OPEN.
BATTERY: Typically 12 Volts DC batteries are used to start Generators or to provide power for Electric Trailer Brakes.
