6.5 Checking the Air Pressure Switch
Requirements Multimeter
Procedure Perform the procedure below to check the air pressure switch.
1. Start this procedure with the machine disconnected from the power supply.
2. Remove the side access panel (a) from the machine.
3. Locate the air pressure switch (b) and check the air hose for binding, pinching,
or damage.
4. Connect the machine to the power source.
5. Turn the machine on and wait 10 seconds, then measure the voltage between
the air pressure switch and terminal M18 of the control board.

WARNING
Electric shock hazard. High voltage exists inside the control panel when the power
cord is plugged into a power supply. Electric shock can cause serious injury or
death.
f Use extreme care and appropriate arc flash avoidance techniques when mea-
suring live, high voltage.
