5.3 Checking the ON-OFF Switch
Requirements  Electric power disconnected from the machine
 Multimeter
Procedure Perform the procedure below to check the ON-OFF switch.
1. Disconnect the power cord from the power supply.
2. Remove the screws (a) that hold the control panel and pull the control panel
from the machine.
3. Remove the cover (b) from the control panel.
4. Locate the ON-OFF switch (c).
5. Check the wiring to the ON-OFF switch. Make sure it is correct—black to upper
terminal, brown to center terminal.

WARNING
Electric shock hazard. High voltage exists inside the control panel when the power
cord is plugged into a power supply. Electric shock can cause serious injury or
death.
f Disconnect the machine from the power supply before continuing this proce-
dure.
