DESCRIPTION AND USE OF THE SYSTEM
LISA log 64 operating principle
Lisa log 64 is a device designed for the use with LISA MB17 and LISA MB22 sterilizers. When connected to the
parallel printer port, it saves one file for each sterilization cycle run.
Use
In normal conditions the Lisa log 64 does not require any intervention by the user; should the device detect any
abnormal conditions or possible loss of data (cable detached, memory card full or failed, etc.), the recorder
provides proper visual and/or acoustic signalling as detailed in the next section.
At the end, the device switches automatically into sleep-mode after 5 minutes of inactivity. The exit from stand-by
will occur automatically as soon as new data is recorded, the memory card is removed or any activity is detected.
Memory card
The memory card provided is already formatted according to FAT16 or FAT32 standard.
When the memory card is plugged in, the Lisa log 64 performs a check before signalling that the card is valid.
WARNING:
The time necessary for the memory check ranges from 2 s and 40 s or more depending on the memory
type and formatting type.
CAUTION:
Do not remove or plug in the memory card during a sterilization cycle.
Lisa log 64 is able to memorize a complete sterilization cycle without the memory card plugged in. To
save the sterilization cycle on the memory card the card must be inserted after the sterilization cycle.
At the start of the sterilization cycle
At the beginning of the sterilization cycle, (once preheated) the Memory LED flashes green. It means that Lisa log
64 is receiving data from the sterilizer.
At the end of the sterilization cycle
At the end of the sterilization cycle, the Memory LED remains green. The recorder switches into sleep-mode after 5
minutes.
WARNING:
If at the end of the sterilization cycle the Status LED flashes orange, it means that some data was
incomplete or missing.
In order not to lose the previous cycle, check the connection of the parallel cable, and prior to opening the
sterilizer door perform the re-printing as described below:
The STATUS LED will stop flashing orange when a new complete cycle is saved or the last one is reprinted
correctly as indicated above. If the condition remains even after the reprinting function, refer to the
Signaling table.
Data transfer
We recommend that the user transfers cycle data from the card to the computer on a regular basis.
