System Diagnostics
Each system module contains diagnostic abilities that assess system level operational failures
to the Field Replaceable Unit (FRU) level. Remote diagnostic monitoring (through a computer
software terminal emulation program) is also supported. A complete list of Alarm and Error
codes is provided in Appendix F.
RF-O! Components
The RF-O! transmitter consists of the following components:
An Orchestra Control Module containing the following submodules:
Orchestra Control Board (OCB)
RF Exciter
DC-DC converter
Combiner [if using multiple power amplifiers (PAs)]
AC power supplies
PA(s) (one or two)
Harmonic filter
AC distribution panel
Internal RF coupler/detector (wattmeter)
The following items are available options for the RF-O! paging station:
External RF coupler/detector
RF-B! transmitter controller
Transmitter peripheral RF package
Network peripheral package
Co-located RF-A! receivers
GPS receiver
The following paragraphs supply a brief description of each component of the RF-O! paging
station. A typical cabinet layout of the RF-O! paging station shows each component in a
two-channel system (see Figure 2-3).
