Keyboard Conventions
This section describes the software application keyboard conventions used in this manual (see
Table 1-1):

Convention Description
System input Text that you must type into the system and screen options appear in bold text.
Example: partition
Keys Single keyboard keys used during input appear bold and in angle brackets.
Examples: <Enter>, <F2>, <Esc>
When one key is to be pressed and held while another key is pressed, the key names
appear bold, in angle brackets, and joined by a plus sign.
Examples: <Esc+2>, <Ctrl+Y>
Keyboard labeling Keyboard labeling varies. For example, <Enter>, <Return>, or <Enter/Return> may
indicate the key used for information entry. These procedures use <Enter> to represent
the various labeling. Unless otherwise noted, the sequence is:
Item <Enter>.
Also, <Control> or <Ctrl> may indicate the control key. These procedures use <Ctrl>.
Variables Variables that you must type into the system are set inside vertical brackets [ ]. However,
you do not type the brackets.
Examples: [Latitude], [177.12.77.34]
System output System responses to commands appear as Courier text.
