TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
If the POSSIBLE CAUSE does not solve the problem, call your local Vulcan-Hart servicer.
PROBLEM
Indicator light blinks then goes off after 2-3
minutes. This is normal if there is no pan on the
cooktop.
Indicator light blinks intermittently and turns
back ON, cooks when light is not blinking.
This symptom may be a normal condition if
you are cooking at a high temperature for a
long period of time, such as with oil.
Reduced heat.
No heating; indicator light is OFF.
Cooktop will not operate; indicator light is OFF.
Cooktop will not operate; indicator light is ON.
With no pan on cooker, indicator light is
continuously ON.
Indicator operates but does not display all digits.
Broken or cracked top glass.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
Reset cooktop by turning the control knob OFF, then
ON to desired cooking level.
1. Air filters are dirty.
2. Air flow is blocked.
3. Ambient temperature too high.
4. Cooling fans not operating.
1. Incorrect pan being used.
2. Incorrect voltage.
3. Incorrect power out adjustment.

reconnect power cord and turn unit ON.

The cooktop is equipped with an air filter to filter grease and dirt and provide proper ventilation.
Clean the air filter once a month. If used in high volume, clean more than once a month. The indicator light may
be an indication that the filter needs cleaning (see Troubleshooting Guide below).
Snap out air filter located on the bottom of the cooktop and wash it in a sink in a solution of soap and water. Rinse
the filter thoroughly and replace the filter when it is completely dry.
Do not use the induction cooktop without the air filter.
