Using additional handset
4 USING ADDITIONAL HANDSETS
You can add new VT2030 accessory handsets to your VT2032 system, but each device must be registered with the telephone base before use.
Up to five handsets can be registered to the same base. When first purchased, each expansion handset shows "NOT REGISTERED". You may
need to charge the handset before registering to the telephone base.
4.1 Registration
Using a VT2030 accessory handset:
1. Press and
U/D on the handset to select REGISTRATION.
2. Press
OK and select the destination base you would like to register to.
3. Press
OK and you are requested to enter the 4-digit system PIN.
4. Enter the 4-digit system PIN.
5. Press
OK and go ahead with the following procedures using the base.
Using the VT2032 base:
6. Press and hold
G on the base station for about five seconds, the base station is entered into registration mode.
If the handset registration is successful, you will hear a confirmation tone and the will stop flashing. The handset will automatically be
allocated the next available handset number. This handset number is shown in the handset display in standby mode. If the handset registration
is unsuccessful, the will still flash.
4.2 Make an Internal Call
This feature is applicable when there are at least two registered handsets or one handset and base registered in the system. It allows you to
make internal calls, transfer external calls from one handset to another handset or from one handset to the base and make conference calls. If
the called handset or base is not answered within 60 seconds, the called handset or base will stop ringing and the calling handset will return to
standby mode.
