Serial ATA Hard Disk Connectors: CN4/CN5(Optional)
The mainboard has 2 SATA connectors. The mainboard provides optional
dual high-speed Serial ATA interface ports, CN4,CN5. Each supports 1
st
generation serial ATA data rates of 150 MB/s. Both connectors are fully compliant
with Serial ATA 1.0 specifications. Each Serial ATA connector can connect to 1
hard disk device. Please refer to Serial ATA Raid manual for detail software
installation procedure.

NOTE
1) If SATA ports were used, For PATA controller, either the primary or secondary
can be used, but not both.
2) PATA devices only: Max. support 4 devices.
3) SATA devices only: Max. support 2 devices.
4) PATA+SATA: Max. support 4 devices(2 PATA + 2 SATA).
5) Some OS(e.g. Windows XP and future OS) can support Max. 6 devices
(2 SATA + 4 PATA).
