Introduction Thank you for purchasing the VTech® Submarine Learning BoatTM! The VTech® Submarine Learning BoatTM is an interactive toy for little ones to enjoy in the bath! Two sea animal characters can be inserted into the front of the submarine or the detachable boat. The submarine introduces numbers, colors, animal names and characteristics and music through interactive play.

GETTING STARTED BATTERY INSTALLATION 1. Make sure the unit is turned OFF and the battery cover, battery box and unit are all dry. 2. Locate the battery cover on the bottom of the unit. Use a screwdriver to loosen the screw.
• • • • • • • • • • • The use of new alkaline batteries is recommended for maximum performance. Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged. Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the toy before being charged (if removable). Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision (if removable). Different types of batteries or new and used batteries are not to be mixed. Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used.
Please note: When the speaker fills up with water, the volume of the product may decrease. Remove the product from the water and allow the water to drain away from the speaker. Return the product to the water and continue playing. • • • • • • • • • Don’t let your child play this toy alone in the water. Batteries must be changed by an adult. Only use this product in water between 10 and 45 degrees Celsius, 50 and 104 degrees Fahrenheit. This product cannot be used in salt water.
ACTIVITIES 2. Press the animal/number buttons to learn numbers, colors, animal names, animal characteristics and hear fun sounds and music. The light will flash with the sound and the water will spray when submerged in the water. 3. Put the submarine in the water to hear a variety of fun sounds and phrases. The light will flash and the water will squirt with the sound. Instructions & Activities 1. Press the on/off button to turn the unit on. You will hear a fun sung song, an inviting phrase and sound.
6. If there is no input to the unit after approximately 10 seconds, you will hear a fun question. After another 10 seconds if there is still no input, you will hear an upbeat melody or a sung song, depending if the unit is in or out of the water. 1. Keep the unit clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth. 2. Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and away from any direct heat source. 3. Make sure to empty the water out of all the elements of the unit and rinse thoroughly before drying so no sediment or cleaning products are left on the unit. 4. Make sure to dry all the elements of the unit before storing. 5. Remove the batteries when the unit is not in use for an extended period of time. 6. Do not drop the unit on hard surfaces.
