Dear Parent: Ever notice the look on your baby’s face when they learn something new through their own discovery? These self-accomplished moments are a parent’s greatest reward. To help fulfill them, VTech® created the Infant Learning‚ series of toys.
INTRODUCTION Thank you for purchasing the VTech® Spin & Giggle GearsTM learning toy! The VTech® Spin & Giggle GearsTM is an electronic panel for toddlers 9 months and up. Twist, turn and spin the six brightly colored gears and be rewarded with lessons in color identification, feelings, sounds and music. Spin the roller for fun sounds and phrases and bright, cheerful graphics. The shooting star and bird sliders and multiple turning gears encourage exploration and fine motor skill developlement.

GETTING STARTED BATTERY INSTALLATION 1. Make sure the unit is turned OFF. 2. Locate the battery cover on the back of the unit. Use a coin or screwdriver to loosen the screw. 3.
• • • • • • • • • Install batteries correctly observing the polarity (+, -) signs to avoid leakage. Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not use batteries of different types. Remove batteries from the equipment when the unit will not be used for an extended period of time. Do not dispose of battery in fire. Do not attempt to recharge ordinary batteries. The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited. Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used.
2. AUTOMATIC SHUT-OFF To preserve battery life, the Spin & Giggle GearsTM learning toy will automatically power-down after approximately 20 seconds without input. The unit can be turned on again by pressing, turning or sliding any of the features. 1. Slide the on/off/volume control switch to turn the unit on. You will hear a song followed by a fun phrase. The lights will flash with the sound. 2.
"Orange makes me feel excited!" 4. Press the light-up cloud button to hear a song or melody. The light will flash with the sound. 5. Spin the roller to hear fun sounds and phrases. All the gears will turn, the star will move back and forth and the bird will move up and down. The light will flash with the sound. "Round and round we go!" Instructions & Activities 3. Turn the gears to learn about colours, feelings and hear a variety of melodies. The light will flash with the sound.

Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and heat source. 3. Remove the batteries when the unit is not in use for an extended period of time. 4.
TROUBLESHOOTING If for some reason the program/activity stops working, please follow these steps: Turn the unit OFF. Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries. Let the unit stand for a few minutes, then replace the batteries. Turn the unit ON. The unit should now be ready to play again. If the product still does not work, replace with a new set of batteries. If the problem persists, please call our Consumer Services Department at 1-800-521-2010 in the U.S.
