Synapse Installation Guide 15 Gateway Installation
 To install the Gateway:
1. Install the Gateway first. Plug the AC plug into an electrical outlet not controlled by a wall switch and the DC plug into
the DC jack, as shown in Figure 12. Wait up to one minute until the screen lights up.
2. Plug an RJ-45 Ethernet cable into the RJ-45 Ethernet port marked LAN. Plug the other end of the RJ-45 Ethernet cable
into your office LAN.

To prevent the loss of system data during power outages, plug the AC power plug into an Uninterruptible Power
Supply (UPS).
