INTRODUCTION Thank you for purchasing the VTech® Little Singing Puppy! Hug your way to adorable early learning! Press the 3 light up buttons on the puppy’s tummy to hear fun phrases that teach objects, emotions, numbers and popular tunes. Pressing the buttons develops fine motor skills while senses are stimulated by the flashing lights, fun sounds and huggable textures.

NOTE Please keep this Parent’s Guide as it contains important information. GETTING STARTED BATTERY INSTALLATION 1. Make sure the unit is turned OFF. 2. Locate the battery cover on the back of the unit.
IMPORTANT: BATTERY INFORMATION • • • • • • • • Insert batteries with the correct polarity (+ and -). Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable batteries. Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used. Do not short-circuit the supply terminals. Remove batteries during long periods of non-use. Remove exhausted batteries from the toy. Dispose of batteries safely. Do not dispose of batteries in fire.
Disposal of batteries and product The crossed-out wheelie bin symbols on products and batteries, or on their respective packaging, indicates they must not be disposed of in domestic waste as they contain substances that can be damaging to the environment and human health. The chemical symbols Hg, Cd or Pb, where marked, indicate that the battery contains more than the specified value of mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd) or lead (Pb) set out in the Batteries and Accumulators Regulation.
PRODUCT FEATURES 1. ON/OFF HEART BUTTON Press the ON/OFF HEART BUTTON to turn the unit ON. To turn the unit OFF, press the button again. 2. AUTOMATIC SHUT OFF To preserve battery life, the VTech® Little Singing Puppy will automatically power down after approximately a minute without input. The unit can be turned on again by pressing the ON/OFF HEART BUTTON. NOTE: If the unit powers down while playing, we suggest changing the batteries. ACTIVITIES 1. Press the ON/OFF HEART BUTTON to turn the unit ON.
3. Press the LIGHT UP BUTTONS while a melody is playing to hear a fun sound effect jam into the tune. The lights will flash with the sounds. 4. Continuously press the LIGHT UP BUTTONS to play a fun sound effect. Press and hold the LIGHT UP BUTTONS to hear a fun tune. 5. Press the ON/OFF HEART BUTTON again to turn the unit OFF. CARE & MAINTENANCE 1. Keep the unit clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth. 2. Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and away from any direct heat source. 3. Remove the batteries when the unit will not be in use for an extended period of time. 4. Do not drop the unit on hard surfaces and do not expose the unit to moisture or water.
