Answering system settings
Remote access code
A two-digit security code is required to access the answering
system remotely from any touch-tone telephone. The preset code
is 19. You can set the code from 00 to 99.
Press MENU when the phone is not in use.
Press q or p to scroll to AnsweringSys, then press SELECT.
Press q or p to scroll to Ans sys setup, then press SELECT.
Press q or p to scroll to Remote code, then press SELECT.
Use the dialing keys to enter a two-digit number.
Press q or p to move the cursor to the left or right.
Press DELETE or BACKSP to erase a digit.
Press and hold DELETE to erase all digits.
Press SAVE to save and you hear a conrmation tone.
Message alert tone
When the message alert tone is set to on, and there is at least
one new message, the telephone base beeps every 10 seconds.
There is no audible alert at the handset. The message alert tone
is preset to off.
Press MENU when the phone is not in use.
Press q or p to scroll to AnsweringSys, then press SELECT.
Press q or p to scroll to Ans sys setup, then press SELECT.
Press q or p to scroll to Msg alert tone, then press SELECT.
Press q or p to choose On or Off.
Press SET to save and you hear a conrmation tone.
The answering system must be turned on for the message alert
tone to be functional.
