5. Use the dialling keys (0-9) to enter a 2-digit number from 00-99.
Press on handset, or on the telephone base to erase a digit.
Press and hold on the handset or on the telephone base to erase all digits.
Press or on the handset, or press or on the telephone base
to move the cursor to the right or left.
Press SET to save. You hear a conrmation tone.
9.10 Message Alert Tone
When the message alert tone is set to On, the telephone base beeps every 10
seconds to alert you to new messages. The tone stops when all new messages have
been reviewed.
To change the setting:
Press MENU in idle mode to enter the main menu.
Use or on the handset, or press or on the telephone base
to scroll to Answering sys, then press SELECT.
Use or on the handset, or press or on the telephone base
to scroll to Ans sys setup, then press SELECT.
Press or on the handset, or press or on the telephone base
to scroll to Msg alert tone, then press SELECT.
Press or on the handset, or press or on the telephone base
to choose between On and Off, then press SET to save your setting. You hear a
conrmation tone.
noteS
You cannot set the message alert tone when another handset or the telephone
base is accessing the answering system.
The message alert tone beeps only if all the conditions below are met.
>Answering system is on.
>Message alert tone setting is on.
>There are new messages.
9.10.1 Temporarily Turning off the Message Alert Tone
Pressing any telephone base key (except and ) temporarily silences the
message alert tone. The message alert tone plays with the next incoming message.
