2.5.4 Install your Range Extender

Plug the mains power cable into the Range Extender in its nal location, plug the other

end into the mains power wall socket and switch the power on.

Or if you want to mount the Range Extender on a wall:

Plug the mains power cable into the Range Extender, thread the cable through

the locking slot and then bundle the power cable with a twist tie.

Put the wall mount slot on the back of the Range Extender over the screw heads

and slide the Range Extender down into place.

Be sure the wall material can hold the weight of the Range Extender. Never install a

Range Extender in damaged or decaying wall material.

3. Plug the other end of the mains power cable into the mains power wall socket

and switch the power on.

Before using the Range Extender, you need to register the Range Extender to the

telephone base. Refer to Chapter 11 (page 87) for details.
