Issue Phone won’t charge
1. Using the wrong AC ADAPTER with this phone, may cause the unit to malfunction. Make sure that you are
using the AC ADAPTER that came in the box with your unit.
2. If the battery is more than 1 year old and there is an issue with the battery, customer may need to purchase
a new battery.
3. For multi handset systems:
To determine if the handset or the battery is defective, swap the batteries with a known working
handset. Ensure that the customer fully charges the battery and monitors it. If the issue follows the
handset, replace the handset if the system is expandable. Replace the whole system if the system is non-
expandable.
Note: If a handset or system is being replaced, skip the remaining tips.
If the issue follows the battery, goto ID#10920.
For single handset systems or when all HS's are affected follow the steps below.
If the issue persists, replace the system. Skip remaining tips.
Reset the phone:
Step 1: Disconnect the power to the telephone base.
Step 2: Disconnect the handset battery(s).
Step 3: Wait a few minutes and then reconnect the power to the telephone base.
Step 4: Reconnect the handset battery(s).
Step 5: Wait about one minute for the handset to re-establish a link with the telephone base and then test
the phone again.
NOTE: After resetting the telephone system, you will need to reset the date and time.
Step 1: Use the dialing keys (0-9) to enter the current month (for example, if the month is March, you must
enter 03). Press MENU/SELECT
Step 2: Use the dialing keys to enter the hour and minute. Press MENU/SELECT
Step 3: Press ▼ or ▲ to select AM or PM. Press MENU/SELECT. You will hear a confirmation tone.
4. 'When placing the handset in the charging base, confirm that the charge contacts on the handset and base
are making a good connection. The CHARGE light on the telephone handset will be on when the handset is
charging. When charging your cordless phone for the first time, or when the battery is completely dead,
after 30 minutes of uninterrupted charging, the handset will be fully functional; which includes the handset
display and indicator lights. There is enough charge at this point to use the telephone for a short time.
Note: It is recommended that you charge your handset battery for the first time for 12 hours to maximize the
life of your battery. After the initial 12 hour charge, keep the handset in the telephone base or charger when
not in use. It is normal for the unit to show "LOW BATTERY while charging. This will go away once the unit
