INTRODUCTION Thank you for purchasing the VTech® Pop-a-Balls™ Twirl & Pop Turtle™. Dropping the included five multicolored balls into the turtle’s tummy makes the turtle spin around on the floor, popping out the balls at random. By pressing the two buttons on the turtle’s shell, your child will learn about numbers, turtle facts and much more through fun and encouraging phrases and sounds.

BATTERY NOTICE • • • • • • • • • • • • Use new alkaline batteries for maximum performance. Use only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended. Do not mix different types of batteries: alkaline, standard (carbonzinc) or rechargeable, or new and used batteries. Do not use damaged batteries. Insert batteries with the correct polarity. Do not short-circuit the battery terminals. Remove exhausted batteries from the toy. Remove batteries during long periods of non-use.
2. Mode Switch Slide the Mode Switch on the bottom of the turtle to select Drop & Pop Mode ( ) or Spin & Sing Mode ( ). 3. Automatic Shut Off To preserve battery life, the Twirl & Pop Turtle™ will automatically power down after approximately two minutes without input. The unit can be turned on again by pressing the buttons or switching to the other mode. NOTE: If the unit repeatedly powers down, we suggest changing the batteries. The infrared light sensors in the turtle’s tummy are sensitive to sunlight.
2. Learning Button Press the Learning Button to hear fun sounds, learn about parts of the turtle’s body and colors in Drop & Pop Mode, or hear playful phrases and music in Spin & Sing Mode. When music is playing, drop a ball into the turtle’s tummy to hear fun sounds play over the music. The light will flash with the sounds. 3. Two Play Modes Drop a ball into the Turtle’s Tummy to learn about numbers, hear playful phrases and music in Drop & Pop Mode, or hear fun phrases and melodies in Spin & Sing Mode.

TROUBLESHOOTING If for some reason the program/activity stops working or malfunctions, please follow these steps: 1. Please turn the unit OFF. 2. Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries. 3. Let the unit sit for a few minutes, then replace the batteries. 4. Turn the unit ON. The unit should now be ready to play again. 5. If the product still does not work, replace with an entire set of new batteries.
