INTRODUCTION Thank you for purchasing the VTech® Kidi Star Music Magic MicrophoneTM! This interactive microphone encourages your child to sing, dance, perform and create! With the four built-in sing-along songs and four built-in games and tools, there is plenty of singing and learning fun! On/Off Press this button to turn the unit ON and OFF. Volume Control Turn this switch to adjust the microphone speaker's volume at any time. Switch NOTE: Kidi Star Music Magic MicrophoneTM complies with the maximum volume output standards set to protect your child's hearing. Music Magic Button Music Magic mode works with the built-in songs and the songs you choose on your own music player. It reduces the main vocal track from most songs.
VoiceChanging Effects Press this button to switch between different voice-changing effects when using the microphone: Squeaky Deep Robot Echo Normal Instant Sound Effects Press this button to add applause and clapping sound effects to your performance. Home Press this button to enter the Home menu to access different activities. Selection Buttons Press these buttons to scroll through menus and make selections. OK Button Press this button to confirm your selection.
This product is only to be connected to equipment of Class II (marked on the marking plate with a symbol ). GETTING STARTED BATTERY INSTALLATION 1. Make sure the unit is turned OFF. 2. Locate the battery cover on the back of the unit. 3. Remove the battery cover and install 2 new AA (AM-3/LR6) batteries as illustrated. (The use of new alkaline batteries is recommended for maximum performance.) 4. Close the battery cover. BATTERY NOTICE • Use new alkaline batteries for maximum performance.
TO BEGIN USING KIDI STAR MUSIC MAGIC MICROPHONETM ACTIVATING NORMAL PLAY Press the On/Off Button to turn ON the unit. LOW BATTERY ICON When the batteries are exhausted, the low battery icon will be displayed and the unit will automatically shut off. Please replace the batteries with a full set of new batteries before further use. AUTOMATIC SHUT OFF To preserve battery life, Kidi Star Music Magic MicrophoneTM will automatically shut off if there is no operation for a short period of time in Game mode.
3. Your Music Plug in an external music player, such as an MP3 player or mobile device (not included), via the provided 3.5mm jack audio cable to listen to your own music! From here, you can press the Music Magic Button to reduce the main vocal track from the current song. Now you can sing along and be a super star! You can also set an auto-off timer in this mode. For details, please refer to the Settings section of this guide.
4.4 Tongue Twisters Challenge yourself to master all of these tricky Tongue Twisters! Press the selection buttons to select a twister and then press the OK Button to confirm. Listen to the instructions and repeat the Tongue Twister! Press the OK Button when you’ve finished and select the next Tongue Twister! Can you master them all? TROUBLESHOOTING Check this section if you experience difficulty operating Kidi Star Music Magic MicrophoneTM. Problem Kidi Star Music Magic MicrophoneTM has stopped working or does not turn on Microphone output cannot be heard or is not loud enough Possible cause Solution Incorrect battery polarities Ensure that the batteries are installed using the correct polarity. Depleted batteries Replace the existing batteries with a brand new set of batteries.
Noise can be heard when connected to a mobile device to play music Interference from Wi-Fi or mobile data The Kidi Star Music Magic MicrophoneTM is affected by mobile device interference when streaming music through Wi-Fi or mobile data. Please download the music to an external music player for higher quality playback. If for some reason the program/activity stops working, please follow these steps: 1. Turn the unit OFF. 2. Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries. 3.
