Answering system settings

When your announcement is reset, the system answers calls with
the default announcement described on this page. You cannot
delete the default announcement.
ÁÆʸÅÂÁÂæ
By default, the answering system is on and ready to record
À¸ÆÆ´º¸Æ²ÂÈ¶´ÁÇÈÅÁÇ»¸´ÁÆʸżÁºÆÌÆǸÀÂæµÈÇ¼¹ÌÂÈ·ÂÆÂ
the answering system does not answer calls and record messages.
ÂÇÈÅÁÇ»¸´ÁÆʸżÁºÆÌÆǸÀÂÁÂÅÂæ
Using a cordless handset:
1. When the handset is in idle mode, press MENU/
SELECT to enter the
main menu.
2. Press T
CID or SDIR to scroll to Answering sys, then press
MENU/SELECT.
3. Press T
CID or SDIR to scroll to Answer ON/OFF, then press
MENU/SELECT.
4. Press T
CID or SDIR to choose On or ¨¹¹, then press
MENU/SELECT to save the setting. You hear a confirmation tone.
When the answering system is on, the handset shows ANS ON.
Using the telephone base:
Press
/ANS ON/OFF to turn
the answering system on or
Âæ¢¹Ç»¸´ÁÆʸżÁºÆÌÆǸÀ
is turned on, it announces,
“Calls will be answered.” If the
´ÁÆʸżÁºÆÌÆǸÀ¼ÆÇÈÅÁ¸·Âæ
it announces, “Calls will not be
answered.”
