• Unplug the electrical power to the telephone base. Wait
for approximately 15 seconds, and then plug it back in. Al-
low up to one minute for the cordless handset and tele-
phone base to synchronize.
• Charge the batteries in the handset for up to 12 hours.
• If the batteries are completely depleted, charge the handset
for at least 30 minutes before use.
• Remove the batteries and then install them again. If that
still does not work, it may be necessary to purchase new
batteries.
• Disconnect the telephone base from the telephone wall jack
and plug in a working telephone. If the other telephone
does not work, the problem is probably in the wiring or
telephone service. Contact your telephone service pro-
vider.
• Make sure there is a dial tone before dialing. It is normal if
the handset takes a second or two to synchronize with the
telephone base before producing a dial tone. Wait an extra
second before dialing.
• Eliminate any background noise. Mute the cordless handset
before dialing, or dial from another room in your home with
less background noise.
