Answering system
Answering system settings
Using a handset:
Press MENU in idle mode to enter the main menu.
Press
CID or DIR to highlight Answering sys, then press
SELECT .
Press
CID or DIR to highlight Answer ON/OFF, then press
SELECT .
Press
CID or DIR to highlight On or Off, then press SET to save.
You hear a confirmation tone.
Announcement
An announcement is the greeting callers hear when calls are answered by the
answering system.
The telephone is preset with a greeting that answers calls with “Hello, please
leave a message after the tone.” You can use this default announcement, or
replace it with your own.
Play your announcement
Using a handset or telephone base:
Press MENU in idle mode to enter the main menu.
Press CID or DIR on the handset, or CID or DIR on the telephone base
to highlight Answering sys, then press SELECT .
Press SELECT again to select Announcement.
The screen displays ANNOUNCEMENT and announces “Announcement,
press PLAY or RECORD.” Press PLAY .
