Sound Detection and Auto Wake Up
Adjust Sound Detection Sensitivity
You can turn on Sound Detection Alert and adjust the Baby Unit’s Sound Sensitivity to only detect your
desired level of sounds. When the Baby Unit detects sounds that exceed the chosen level, the Parent
Viewer screen turns on if it has been switched off or dimmed, and the Baby Unit transmits the detected
sounds to the Parent Viewer. You will immediately be able to see and hear your baby.
If you have turned on Sound Detection Alert, the Parent Viewer beeps when the Baby Unit detects sounds.

Sound Activated Screen and Audio - Auto Wake-Up
When Auto Wake-Up is turned on,
the Parent Viewer screen stays off
to save power when the Baby Unit
detects no sound.
Once the Baby Unit detects sounds
that are louder than the chosen
sound sensitivity level, the Parent
Viewer screen and speaker turn on
automatically. The Parent Viewer
will then turn off again after no
sound has been detected for a
while.
The RBRC seal on the Li-ion battery indicates that VTech Communications, Inc. is voluntarily participating in
an industry program to collect and recycle these batteries at the end of their useful lives, when taken out of
service within the United States and Canada. The program provides a convenient alternative to placing used

This baby monitor meets the California Energy Commission (CEC) regulations for energy consumption. Your baby monitor is
set up to comply with the energy-conserving standards right out of the box. Follow the instructions to install and charge the
battery. The CEC battery charging testing mode is activated while charging. Even if the Parent Viewer is paired to Baby Units,
the CEC battery charging testing mode is activated while it is powered off and charging.

8. Lorsqu’ils sont branchés dans une prise de courant, les

CONSERVEZ CES INSTRUCTIONS
Mises en garde

5. Ne jamais placer le moniteur à l’intérieur du berceau ou du
parc de bébé. Ne jamais couvrir le moniteur ou l’unité (s)
portative avec un article tel une serviette ou une couverture.
6. D’autres équipements électroniques peuvent produire des
interférences sur votre moniteur vidéo et audio. Tentez
d’installer votre moniteur vidéo ou audio à l’écart des appareils
électroniques tels que des routeurs sans fil, radios, téléphones
cellulaires, interphones, moniteurs, téléphones, ordinateurs
personnels, électroménagers et téléphones sans fil.
Stimulateurs cardiaques implantés dans l’organisme
Les simulateurs cardiaques (ne s’applique qu’aux dispositifs
numériques sans fil) :
L’organisme ‘Wireless Technology Research, LLC (WTR)’,
une firme de recherche indépendante, a mené une évaluation
pluridisciplinaire des interférences entre les téléphones sans
fil portatifs et les stimulateurs cardiaques implantés dans
l’organisme. Appuyée par l’Administration des aliments et
drogues (FDA) des États-Unis, la firme WTR recommande aux
médecins:
Avis aux détenteurs de stimulateurs cardiaques
• Vous devriez maintenir les dispositifs sans fil à au moins six
pouces du simulateur cardiaque.
• Ils ne doivent PAS placer le téléphone sans fil directement sur
le stimulateur cardiaque, tel que dans une poche de chemise,

L’étude effectuée par l’organisme WRS n’a pas identifié de risque

Night Light
Mount the baby unit on a dry wall (optional)
Night Vision (B&W and Color)
1. Place the wall mount bracket
on a wall and then use a
pencil to mark the top and
the bottom holes as shown.
Remove the wall mount
bracket and drill two holes in
the wall (7/32 inch drill bit).
Notes
• Check for reception strength and the Baby Unit’s viewing angle before drilling the holes.
• The types of screws and anchors you need depend on the composition of the wall. You may need to purchase the
screws and anchors separately to mount your Baby Units.
2. If you drill the holes into a stud, go
to step 3.
• If you drill the holes into an object
other than a stud, insert the wall
anchors into the holes. Tap gently
on the ends with a hammer until
the wall anchors are flush with the
wall.
3. Align the wall mount
bracket and screws with
the holes in the wall as
shown. Tighten the screw
in the middle hole first,
so that the wall mount
bracket position is fixed.
You can tighten the other
screw in the top hole.
3. Insert the screws into
the holes and tighten
the screws until only 1/4
inch of the screws are
exposed.
4. Place the Baby Unit on
the wall mount bracket.
Tighten the screw into
the threaded socket at
the bottom to secure
the Baby Unit. Align
the holes on the wall
mount bracket with the
screws on the wall, and
slide the wall mount
bracket down until it
locks into place.
5. You can maximize your Baby Unit’s
viewing angles by tilting the wall mount
bracket.
Hold the Baby Unit, and then rotate
the knob in an anti-clockwise direction.
This will loosen the joint of the wall
mount bracket.
Tilt your Baby Unit up or down to adjust
to your preferred angle. Then, rotate
the knob in a clockwise direction to
tighten the joint and secure the angle.

the wall mount bracket.
Tighten the screw into
the threaded socket at
the bottom to secure
the Baby Unit.

Alert Icons
• Displays when Parent Viewer’s battery is low and
needs charging.

Notes:
• If you have muted the Parent Viewer speaker, only the Parent Viewer screen will turn on when a
sound is detected.
• If you have turned on Auto Wake Up but turned off Sound Detection Alert, the Parent Viewer will
wake up when the Baby Unit detects sounds that are louder than the chosen sound sensitivity level.
The Baby Unit has infrared LEDs that allow
you to see your baby clearly at night or in a
dark room. When the Baby Unit being viewed
detects low light levels, the infrared LEDs
switch on automatically. When Black and
White Night Vision mode is activated,
appears on the screen. When Color Night
Vision mode is activated,
appears on the
screen.
Notes
• It is normal to see a short white glare on your Parent
Viewer screen as the Baby Unit is adapting to the
dark environment.
• If you adjust the night vision mode while night vision
is not activated, the new settings will be saved and
applied the next time it activates.
Change your night vision viewing mode
1. Press the Night Mode quick set key
to view the Night Mode menu.

Adjust Motion Detection Sensitivity
You can turn on Motion Alert and adjust the Baby Unit’s Motion Sensitivity to only detect
your desired level of motion. When the Baby Unit detects motions that exceed the chosen
level, the Parent Viewer screen turns on if it has been switched off or dimmed, and the Baby
Unit displays the live video feed. You will immediately be able to see and hear your baby.
If you have turned on Motion Alert, the Parent Viewer beeps when the Baby Unit detects movements.

Adjust the night light with the Baby Unit
• Tap the Night light control key

on the top of the Baby Unit to turn on/off the

Tip
• The video quality may vary depending on the
surrounding environment and interfering factors like
lightings, objects, colors and backgrounds. Adjust
the Baby Unit’s angle or place the Baby Unit at a
higher elevation to prevent glare and blurry displays.
Note
• If Auto Brightness has been pre-selected, any adjustment in night light brightness (either on the Baby Unit or
the Parent Viewer) will automatically turn off Auto Brightness mode and switch to the fixed level of brightness.
Troubleshooting

normally?
Try the following (in the order listed) for a common cure:
1. Disconnect the power to the the Baby Unit(s) and Parent Viewer.
2. Wait a few seconds before connecting power back to the Baby Unit(s) and Parent Viewer.
3. Turn on the Baby Unit(s) and the Parent Viewer.
4. Wait for the Parent Viewer to synchronize with the Baby Unit(s). Allow up to one minute
for this to take place.
Why doesn’t the Baby
Unit’s and Parent
Viewer’s power LED
turn on when I switch
on the units?
The Parent Viewer may not be connected to power. Insert the appliance plug into the power
jack of the Parent Viewer and put the adapter in a wall socket. Then, press the
Power
button on the Parent Viewer to establish connection with the Baby Unit.
The Baby Unit may not be connected to power. Insert the appliance plug into the power jack
of the Baby Unit and put the adapter in a wall socket. Then, slide the On/Off switch on the
Baby Unit to establish connection with the Parent Viewer.
Why doesn’t my
Parent Viewer charge
when connected to AC
power?
Make sure your power source is not controlled by a wall switch.
Why are my images in
black and white?
The images are in black white during night-time or in a dark room when night vision is
automatically activated. You can also choose to view your baby at night in color, see Night
Vision (B&W and Color) to learn how.
Why is the Baby Unit
producing a high-
pitched noise?
The Parent Viewer and Baby Unit(s) may be too close to each other.
• Move the Parent Viewer away from the Baby Unit(s) until the noise stops (OR)
• Turn down the volume of your Parent Viewer.
Why does the Parent
Viewer beep?
The Baby Unit(s) may be out of range. Move the Parent Viewer closer to the Baby Unit(s)
(but not less than 3 feet).
The Parent Viewer may not have enough battery for the Parent Viewer to perform normally.
Charge the Parent Viewer until the battery icon becomes solid

The temperature of your baby’s room may be too high or too low.
Why can’t I hear any
sounds from the Parent
Viewer? Why can’t I
hear my baby cry?
The Parent Viewer speaker volume may be too low or muted. Press
to open the volume

Viewer menu to change the Parent Viewer’s sound sensitivity to the highest level (level 5),

Why can’t I establish a
connection? Why does
my connection cut off
every now and then?
Why are there sound
interruptions?
The Baby Unit(s) may be out of range. Move the Parent Viewer closer to the Baby Unit(s)
(but not less than 3 feet).
Other electronic and wireless products may cause intereference with your baby monitor. Try
installing your baby monitor as far away from these devices as possible.
If you powered on only one Baby Unit but have two paired to the Parent Viewer, your Parent
Viewer may display
