32-64 track performance with Pro Tools|24 MIX and MIXplus systems
requires the following configuration:
IBM IntelliStation E Pro - Model 6846 (Note: Other IntelliStation E
Pros are currently not qualified)
IBM IntelliStation M Pro - Model 6889 (Note: Other IntelliStation M
Pros are currently not qualified, including the M Pro model 6868, which
has been problematic.)
Total System RAM: 192 MB minimum for 32 tracks, 256 MB for 64
tracks
Two Pro Tools-qualified hard drives connected to a qualified Host
Adapter
The following configurations with the IntelliStation M Pro’s built in
SCSI port also yield up to 32 track performance:
● Use of a combination of qualified hard drives connected to the
CPU's internal and external SCSI busses. Digidesign recommends
that internally mounted drives are installed according to the drive
manufacturer's guidelines.
● Use of two or more qualified hard drives connected to the CPU’s
internal Fast SCSI Bus
* Systems adhering to the Minimum Computer Requirements are currently
qualified for 32 track performance. While they may be able to provide 32-
64 track performance, they cannot be guaranteed to do so at this time.
