Or right-click on the server and select the Upgrade Firmware option (fig 21). Again this func-
tion is available via Server Manager in the Menu bar. When you upgrade the firmware using the
Upgrade Firmware option, the following network settings will be retained:
DHCP or Static setting
IP Address
Net Mask
Default Gateway
Server Name
Password enable/disable
Password

A mcs8140-update-x.x.x.xx file is required to upgrade the firmware, where x.x.x.xx represents
the version number of the Firmware.
Technical Note: Make sure to select the appropriate update file for upgrade and the name and
type of update file should not be modified.
Once the Upgrade dialog will pop up and ask for the File name. Select the upgrade file by clicking
on the Browse button in the Select File dialog (figure 22) and click on the Transfer button.

The client utility will check for the version of Firmware currently available on the box and compares
the version number with the version of the update file.
