Warnings
Electrical risks
l Do not pour water or any other liquids over the power supply (risk of electrical
short circuits).
l Ensure the power supply casing is not damaged.
l Switch off the instrument and unplug the mains cable before cleaning the
instrument.
l Use only the power cord and power supply set provided by the manufacturer.
l In case the power cord is damaged, switch off the main laboratory circuit
breaker and disconnect the cable from the socket and the instrument.
l Do not remove the casing.
l Connect to the indicated voltage source. See "Technical data" on page40.
l In case of danger, disconnect the power supply plug from the instrument or
disconnect the electrical socket by using the mains socket circuit breaker, if
present.
Biological risks
l Do not reuse the cap.
l Use permitted liquids, biological samples and biological sample container
only.
l Observe the national regulations, the biological security level of your
laboratory, the material safety data sheets, and the manufacturer's application
notes.
l Wear individual protection devices as prescribed by your laboratory
regulations.
l Handle the cap with care.
l For information on decontaminants, their use, dilutions, properties, and
potential applications, please refer to the "Laboratory Biosafety Manual"
(source:World Health Organization, Laboratory Biosafety Manual, in its current
valid version).
l Clean the instrument and all its components regularly, and especially if they
are visibly dirty.
