Accessing the Central
Management Utility

Overview
There are three ways to access the CO card in order to configure and manage it:
 By using the PC monitor and keyboard to access the central management
utility, as described in
Accessing the Central Management Utility Locally on
page 3-2.
 By using a VT100-compatible terminal or PC running a terminal emulator
program to access the central management utility, as described in
Accessing
the Central Management Utility Using a VT100-Compatible Terminal
on
page 3-2.
 By using a TCP/IP system to access the central management utility via telnet,
as described in
Accessing the Central Management Utility Using Telnet on
page 3-3
Chapter 4,
Configuring and Managing the Card , describes the operation of the
central management utility.
NOTE:
You cannot use the local and the terminal-based or telnet-based central
management utilities simultaneously.
