Before You Begin
1. Check your package contents.
2. Review software and hardware requirements in Chapter 1.
3. Begin installation.

Your HotWire 5100 RTU package should contain the following:
 HotWire 5170 Remote Termination Unit
 HotWire 5170 Diagnostics Utility disk
 RS-232 Cable (serial port connection)
 6-pin modular cable (DSL connection)
 8-pin Ethernet Cable (Ethernet connection)
