3. Holding the extended bale clasp latch with one hand, use your other hand
to pull the optical transceiver fully out of its socket in the physical interface
card.

Install an Optical
Transceiver
To install an optical transceiver:
1. Slide the replacement optical transceiver into the SFP socket on the NIU.

2. Press on the face of the SFP+ optical transceiver to seat it with the socket.
