Introduction Introduction Thank you for purchasing the VOX Looper Multieffect pedal “Lil' Looper.” To help you get the most out of your new instrument, please read this manual carefully. Main features • Two independent loops allow you to record a separate phrase on each loop, with a total recording time of up to 90 seconds for the two loops. The pedal can be used to smoothly switch the two loops and to control the recording, playback and overdubbing.
VOX Lil' Looper Owner's manual FX: Effect When headphones are connected to the HEADPHONES jack, the metronome sound can only be monitored with the headphones. There are a total of 12 effects. Each effect includes three effect types. You can select and use one effect at a time. VOX VFS2 (option) The effect is used to process the signal from the INPUT jack. Each effect has two adjustable parameters. The parameters that can be adjusted may vary according to the effects that are selected.

The brightness of the buttons and LEDs will diminish when the battery power becomes low. As the battery power decreases further, the PEAK LED will blink and the power will turn off automatically in approximately 1 minute. Be sure to replace the batteries with new ones before this occurs.

For example, if you press the LOOP1 pedal, Loop 1 is selected and the functions of Loop 1 will be switched each time the pedal is pressed. Also, if you press the LOOP2 pedal while Loop 1 is recording, Loop 1 will switch to playback and the recording of Loop 2 will start. c a. Minimize the volume of all your equipment before you turn on the power. Guitar Use a cable to connect the OUTPUT jack to your guitar amp or mixer. Note: The Lil' Looper’s output is monaural. Do not connect headphones to the OUTPUT jack. Doing so may damage your headphones. Mic Guitar amp, mixer, recorder, etc. 3. 4.
Creating phrases Turning the power on 1. 2. 3. Make sure that the volume of your amp or mixer is sufficiently lowered, and then turn the Lil' Looper’s POWER switch to the ON position. The AUTO REC, METRONOME, TAP and CLEAR buttons light up green when the power is turned on. Turn on the power of the connected amp or mixer, and raise the volume. Play your guitar, and adjust its volume without allowing the PEAK LED to light-up. Note: The Lil' Looper contains an auto power-off function.

If a REC status LED lights up red, that loop is currently recording. Press the LOOP pedal once to enter the playback mode, and press it twice to stop the loop. If the REC status LED lights up red and the PLAY status LED lights up green, the overdubbing function is being performed. Press the LOOP pedal two times to stop the loop.
Creating phrases If you’ve set the tempo, the length of the created phrase will be a precise multiple of the tempo. Note: When the optional VOX VFS2 foot switch is connected to the EXT.SW jack, it can be used to turn an effect on and off or to control the switching of the effect type. The METRONOME button will light up red. The TAP button will blink at the tempo you specified.
Creating phrases Determining the recording length If you’re recording without specifying a tempo When recording has started without specifying a tempo (TAP button: does not light up), the following operations will occur if the LOOP pedal is pressed and the recording is stopped. • If you’re recording while playing back the Loop 1 phrase, the timing when you stop recording will be automatically adjusted to an exact multiple of the Loop 1 length.

The recording/playback function of the Lil’ Looper The recording/playback function of the Lil’ Looper has two modes. Sync mode (set at the factory) In this mode, the correlation of the two loops will be maintained when recording. For example, Loop 1 will playback while Loop 2 is recorded.
VOX Lil' Looper Owner's manual Blinks red → Lights up → Does not light up: Sync mode Blinks green → Lights up → Does not light up: Individual mode The current mode will be indicated similarly by the blinking or lighting up of the LEDs when starting the Lil’ Looper. About the recording time The Lil' Looper can record 90 seconds of phrases (total) for Loop 1 and Loop 2. A minimum of ten seconds of recording time is allocated to each loop. After recording on Loop 1, let’s suppose that you record on Loop 2.

At the point where you want to start overdubbing, press the LOOP1 pedal, and play your instrument. The Loop 1 REC status LED will light-up red, and overdubbing will begin. Press the LOOP1 pedal at the point where you want to stop overdubbing. The Lil' Looper will switch from overdubbing to loop playback.

When a phrase exists in only one loop The erased phrase cannot be recovered. Use this operation with caution. Note: If the optional VOX VFS2 foot switch is connected to the EXT.SW jack, it can be used to delete phrases. ( p. 29 “Controlling the Lil’ Looper with a foot switch”) 1.
Creating phrases When you want to delete both loop phrases collectively 1. Hold down the CLEAR button. The PLAY status LED, REC status LED and CLEAR button will blink rapidly. When they turn off, the two loop phrases will be deleted. Loop status The existence of a phrase in the loop and its operational status are indicated by the PLAY status LED and the REC status LED.

Please refer to page 7 for details on the signal flow. EFFECT knob: This is the parameter that you can edit by turning the EFFECT knob. EFFECT button + LOOP LEVEL/VALUE knob: This is the parameter that you can edit by turning the LOOP LEVEL/VALUE knob while holding down the EFFECT button.
About the effects DISTORTION This is a distortion unit that’s ideal for metal. • EFFECT knob: Adjusts the gain. • EFFECT button + LOOP LEVEL/VALUE knob: Adjusts the output level. Modulation /Delay effects STUTTER This effect produces a tremolo-like impression by applying a tempo-synchronized gate to the input sound. • EFFECT knob: Specifies the time signature. The gate will open and close in synchronization with the tempo and the time signature you specify here.

ACOUSTIC • EFFECT knob: Adjusts the depth of the effect. • EFFECT button + LOOP LEVEL/VALUE knob: Adjusts the mix balance between the direct sound and effect sound. • EFFECT button + LOOP LEVEL/VALUE knob: Adjusts the output level. Saving an effect This simulates an acoustic guitar. BASS This simulates an electric bass guitar. You can apply overdrive to this sound.
Controlling the Lil’ Looper with a foot switch 3. If an effect or parameter value that has been saved in advance is changed, the EFFECT button will blink. Hold down the EFFECT button. The effect has been saved if the EFFECT button blinks, then lights up. Controlling the Lil’ Looper with a foot switch When the optional VOX VFS2 foot switch is connected to the EXT.SW jack, it can be used to control the loops and effects. Be sure to connect the VOX VFS2 foot switch while the power is turned off.

Disabling the Auto Power-Off function Here’s how to disable the Auto Power-Off function. 1. 2. Turn the Lil' Looper’s power off. 3. Release the buttons. The Auto Power-Off function will be disabled and the Lil’ Looper will start up in the normal way.
Restoring the factory settings the Lil’ Looper will start up in the normal way. Note: The enabled/disabled state of the Auto Power-Off function is remembered even when you turn off the power. Restoring the factory settings Here’s how to restore the Lil' Looper to its factory-set state. The following settings will be initialized and returned to the settings set at the factory.

Afin de pouvoir exploiter au mieux toutes les possibilités offertes par l’instrument, veuillez lire attentivement ce manuel. Caractéristiques principales • Deux boucles indépendantes vous permettent d’enregistrer des phrases distinctes. Vous disposez d’une durée d’enregistrement totale de 90 secondes pour les deux boucles.
Introduction FX: Effet L’effet traite le signal de la prise INPUT. Vous avez le choix entre 12 effets. Chaque effet comprend trois types d’effet. Vous pouvez sélectionner et utiliser un effet à la fois. Chaque effet dispose de deux paramètres ajustables. Les paramètres ajustables peuvent varier en fonction des effets sélectionnés. Boucle Chaque boucle enregistre le signal d’effet. Il y a deux boucles: la boucle 1 et la boucle 2.

Si les piles sont de plus en plus épuisées, le témoin PEAK clignotera et l’appareil se mettra automatiquement hors tension en l’espace d’1 minute. Assurez-vous de remplacer les piles avec des piles neuves avant que ce témoin ne s’allume. Si les piles sont épuisées, retirez-les immédiatement du compartiment.

Panneaux 8. Bouton TAP Ce bouton permet de régler le tempo du métronome. En appuyant plusieurs fois, vous pouvez régler le tempo à l’intervalle entre chaque pression. Le bouton clignotera selon le tempo que vous avez défini. Pour régler la métrique, appuyez et maintenez le bouton et tournez la commande LOOP LEVEL/ VALUE. Une fois l’appareil sous tension, la métrique 4/4 et q = 120 seront définies. Ce bouton permet également d’activer et de désactiver la fonction Loop Quantize.

Prise EXT.SW Cette prise est utilisée pour brancher la pédale commutateur VOX VFS2 en option. La pédale commutateur a les fonctions suivantes : • Activer et désactiver un effet, ou sélectionner le type d’effet. • Arrêter l’opération de chaque boucle ou supprimer des phrases. 5.

Le bouton METRONOME s’allumera en rouge. 2. Pour régler le volume du métronome, maintenez le bouton METRONOME enfoncé et actionnez la commande LOOP LEVEL/VALUE. 3.

Si vous enregistrez sans spécifier de tempo Si l’enregistrement a démarré sans spécifier de tempo (bouton TAP: non allumé), vous constaterez les opérations suivantes si vous appuyez sur la pédale LOOP et si l’enregistrement est interrompu.

Appuyez sur le bouton AUTO REC pour l’allumer. 2. Tout en maintenant le bouton AUTO REC, tournez la commande LOOP LEVEL/VALUE pour définir la sensibilité où commencera l’enregistrement. Tournez la commande dans le sens contraire aux aiguilles d’une montre pour augmenter la sensibilité, et dans le sens des aiguilles de montre pour la diminuer.

Durée d’enregistrement Le Lil’ Looper peut enregistrer 90 secondes de phrases (au total) pour les boucles 1 et 2. Un minimum de 10 secondes d’enregistrement est alloué à chaque boucle.

A l’endroit voulu pour le début de l’ajout, appuyez sur la pédale LOOP1 et jouez sur votre instrument.

Effacer la phrase d’une boucle Vous pouvez effacer la phrase d’une boucle. Il est impossible de récupérer une phrase qui a été effacée. Soyez donc prudent lorsque vous utilisez cette fonction. Remarque: Si la pédale commutateur VOX VFS 2 est connectée à la prise EXT.SW, vous pouvez l’utiliser pour supprimer les phrases.

Le témoin PLAY Status, le témoin REC Status et le bouton CLEAR clignoteront rapidement.

VOX Lil' Looper Bedienungsanleitung Vorweg Vielen Dank für Ihre Entscheidung zu einem VOX Looper-Multi-Effektpedal „Lil’ Looper“. Bitte lesen Sie sich diese Anleitung vollständig durch, um bei der Bedienung alles richtig zu machen. Die wichtigsten Funktionen • Zwei separate Schleifen („Loops“) erlauben die Aufnahme zweier Phrasen mit einer Aufnahmedauer von insgesamt 90 Sekunden (für beide Loops).
Vorweg FX (Effekt) Mit dem Effekt können die Signale der INPUT-Buchse bearbeitet werden. Die Effektsektion verfügt über insgesamt 12 Effekte, von denen jeweils vier Effekte drei Effekttypen zugeordnet sind. Sie können daraus einen Effekt auswählen. Jeder Effekt hat zwei einstellbare Parameter. Die einstellbaren Parameter können je nach ausgewähltem Effekt variieren. Schleife Die „Loops“ (Schleifen) zeichnen die Signale mit Effektbearbeitung auf. Es gibt zwei Schleifen: „Loop 1“ und „Loop 2“.

Wird die Batterieleistung zu schwach, blinkt die PEAK-Diode, und das Gerät schaltet sich nach etwa einer Minute automatisch aus. Ersetzen Sie rechtzeitig verbrauchte Batterien mit neuen, um dies zu vermeiden.

Anmerkung: Die Bedienung bei der Aufnahme mit eingestelltem Tempo unterscheidet sich von der Bedienung bei der Aufnahme ohne vorher eingestelltes Tempo. Zudem wird beim Anhalten der Wiedergabe der Ausgang stummgeschaltet, während die LoopWiedergabe intern weiterläuft.

Halten Sie bei der Wiedergabe oder beim OverdubVorgang das LOOP-Pedal gedrückt. 2. Lassen Sie das Pedal los, wenn die PLAY StatusDiode orange blinkt. Die Rückgängig-Funktion wird ausgeführt. Erfolgt nun ein neuer Overdub-Vorgang über der gerade rückgängig gemachten Aufnahme, wird der vorherige Inhalt gelöscht.
