Towingthevehiclebytheaxlewill
causescarringandresultantdamageto
theaxleandvoidwarranty.
Whenliftingavehiclewithanunderliftboom,caremustbetakennottodamagethe
engine’soilpan.Itmayalsobenecessarytoremovethefrontfairing.
Thisisanalternativemethodfortowingthevehicle,butitrequiresSPECIALforks
(seeillustrationshowingdesignatedliftpoints).Thefollowingproceduremustbe
used:
•Placeablockofwoodontopoftheboomandliftthevehicleinordertoplace
spacersundertires.Thiswillprovidesufcientroomundertheaxletolocateforks
intheproperposition.
•Installtheforkintheboomproperlywiththeangledarmoftheforkfacingforward.
•Positiontheforksdirectlyunderthecenterofthebottomaxlewraps,andlift
vehicle.Theindentionsinthecenterofthewrapwilllocatetheforksandmaintain
theirposition.
•Whensecuringthevehicletotheboom,use(preferably)nylonsafetystraps.
Chainshaveatendencytobindandmaycausedamagetotheaxle.
