DONOTallowtheclutchtoslipexcessively.Thiswouldcauseexcessiveheatto
begeneratedandtheclutchwillbedamagedandbringonprematurefailure.As
soonasthevehicleismoving,removethefootfromthepedalforcompleteclutch
engagement.Oncetheclutchisfullyengaged,heatandweardoesnotaffectit.
DONOTshockloadthedrivelinethroughrapidengagementoftheclutch.Extreme
careshouldbetakenwhendrivingheavyloadsuphills.Alwaysusethelowestgear
whenstartingoutunderadverseconditions.
Whenoperatingavehicleequippedwithaclutchbrake,theclutchpedalshouldnotbe
depressedmorethanhalfwaytotheoorwhileshifting,exceptwhenthevehicleis
atastop.Tore-enterthelowgearfromneutralorreverse,ortoenterreversegear
fromneutralorlow,theclutchshouldbedepressedallthewaytoengagetheclutch
brake.Thisstopstherotationofthetransmissioninputshaftandprovidesaneasy,
quietgearengagement.
